Season 1, Episode 8
Mayor Marilyn ties to put a positive spin on the execution, saying it marks a new future for Shuckton. Crim has his last meal, and confesses to a Priest/Rabbi/Tribal Elder that he does not have any First Nations background. Death checks out of his motel in preparation for the execution. Marilyn reveals that executions will become Shuckton's new major trade, including talks to build a theme-park around them in Shuckton. Death kills Buttonhole, who begs for it, which disgusts Death, and receives a message that Crim is next. Ricky and Marnie race to execution.

The Man in Black sends Sawyer on a reconnaissance mission to Hydra Island, where he discovers that Charles Widmore has returned to the island with a team of scientists. In the flash sideways, Sawyer is a lonely cop who is still searching for the original Sawyer.

Adrianna and Gia’s friendship continues to develop when the two throw a pity party for themselves. Silver and Teddy toy with the idea of trying to make a relationship work. Ryan meets free-spirited Laurel at a bar, but soon they move to her car so they can get to know each other even better. A surprise visitor shows up on the Wilson’s doorstep.

For its first two seasons, both of which originally aired in 2007, the show was presented by Shana Hiatt. The host for season 3 was Marianela Pereyra, and Leeann Tweeden took over starting with season 4. All seasons have contained voice-over commentary by Oliver "Ali" Nejad. The program returned to American television over the NBC Sports Network on March 5, 2012 with previously aired repeats, with unaired episodes from season 7 airing for the first time beginning June 4, 2012. NBCSN schedules the show on weeknights at midnight, although the start time varies due to overruns by sporting events.

When Chickie is assigned to ride with John for the day, he discovers she has no "command presence" and has lost her edge, suggesting it may be time for her to get out of police work.
