She says he was the one who lost it, and in order to "win" the fight, Jim buys another DVD player and tells Cheryl he exchanged the broken one. Later, Dana shows up with the receipt, in which Cheryl wrote her a recipe, and Cheryl - after realizing it was her fault after all - burns it. They get into a fight but soon decide to drop the point scoring and just be happy again.

Ben returns and admits that it was very difficult to leave his son. Lauren is still planning to move to Arizona, and he wants to follow. Felicity is still uncertain about joining him. Richard inadvertently blabs about Ben's child and the Arizona move to Felicity's father. Dr. Porter confronts Ben and expresses disapproval about the engagement (among other things). Felicity refuses to move to Arizona because she thinks that she should be more independent.

Pacey tries to get Audrey her job back, but all he gets is an inadvertent kiss from Alex.

Ozzy and Sharon are more than a little put off by the fact that Jack just lets Dill come over without telling them, let alone asking for permission. Dill is obnoxious and slovenly, and creeps out Ozzy and others with his habit of always scratching his head. Dill also smokes and drinks a lot, and Sharon is annoyed to find a bottle of Jack Daniels with his belongings. She decides that she is going to go to the bathroom in the bottle, but Kelly pleads with her not to do this. Dill accidentally starts a fire in the kitchen, doing damage to a pan and the stovetop. Jack is irritated by the fact that Dill is the only one who doesn't seem to be helping clean up the mess, although Dill points out that he would only make things worse. Ozzy and Sharon finally persuade Jack to ask Dill to leave the house.
