The ensuing fight opens old wounds and leaves the three friends believing their friendship will never be the same. Also, with classes at Worthington over, Joey says goodbye to Audrey who has to stay behind to attend summer classes. And Jen invites her mother, Helen, over to Grams' house where she wants her to tell Helen about her cancer.

Initially, it appears the victim was trampled to death, but Grissom and Catherine uncover evidence of foul play. Meanwhile, in the Hell's Gate section of Death Valley, Sara and Warrick probe the apparent suicide of a 15-year-old boy found under a bedspread. The investigation intensifies when a girl's body turns up a half-mile away.

It turns out they were making the top 4 team leaders, and that's Ernie. George wants to take it, because he knows Ernie can't handle it, but he doesn't know if he can do it, when Ernie tells him how much he really wants it; Angie learns how to sell makeup products.

After eliminating all natural causes, the crew becomes convinced that a door is opening and closing of its own volition. The pub's history can be traced back beyond the Norman conquest. It is said that in 1110 a court was convened to try two brothers, James Crowther for a violent robbery, John for stealing sheep. James was sentenced to nine months prison while his brother was hanged from a beam at the inn.
