In addition to her production duties, Whoopi Goldberg served as the permanent center square, with series head writer Bruce Vilanch, Gilbert Gottfried, Martin Mull, and Caroline Rhea as regular panelists and Brad Garrett, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jeffrey Tambor, George Wallace, Kathy Griffin and various others as semi-regular panelists. Shadoe Stevens returned to announce, although he was not given a square on the panel as he had been when John Davidson was host.

Drew is disappointed when Sharon cannot spend much time with him because of her busy work schedule. Drew's screw-up prevents the gang from getting tickets to the first game by the new Cleveland Browns. Steve wins tickets from a radio station, but elects to take Mimi instead of Drew. Sharon tries to cheer him up by getting him a big screen TV for the game. However, she says that she cannot watch with him because she has to go out of town. Mimi feels that Sharon's gift smacks of guilt, and suggests that she is cheating on Drew. Sharon has left her purse behind, and Drew uncovers evidence that seems to prove Mimi right. Drew confronts Sharon, who seems to have a logical explanation. Lewis convinces the gang to hide out in portable restrooms and sneak into the stadium. The stranger creates a rift between the siblings, which leaves the Underground disbanded, vulnerable and ultimately trapped.

Sonic, Manic and Sonia invade Robotnik's lair to retrieve the Hedgehog crest. After the book is reclaimed, they discover that this book contains directions to a scroll that could be an important tool to overthrow Robotnik. The scroll is heavily protected, but Sonic leads the group in the right direction where they eventually encounter the royal Aman-Rapi.
