They both follow Johnny and friends to a ski resort where Johnny is set to play to play with a famous musician,Woody Gillis. Joran uses to Rachael as a deterrent to distract Johnny from who he really is and who his friends are,turning him into a detestable person. The battle reaches it's climax where Joran leads Nightman to the top of a mountain known as "Devil's Run" for a showdown, hand to hand With Johnny's friends trapped in a car under an avalanche that Joran caused,and time running out, Nightman ultimately fights Joran over the top of the mountain, and Joran falls to his death.
