During a raid by a Section team led by Michael, Nikita saves Michael's life and they manage to escape together. Later, on an abandoned ship, Nikita and Michael share a night of passion. However, Michael's lies about Nikita's whereabouts are in danger of being exposed.

Mike is under investigation when a man (Russel Palmer) dies in the cells when he is on duty. Russell's cousin, Hibbut, claims he heard Mike beat Hibbut up. Nick warns Mike that he must tell him everything that happened that night. Mike says that he pushed Hibbut back into the cell when he tried to escape and that he was shouting ‘Quin'. Mike is suspended, and is brought in later when the post-mortem reveals that the death was partly due to a blow to the back of his head. Nick asks Neil if Hibbut could have been ill and mentions he was calling for ‘Quin'. Neil realises that Hibbut must have had Malaria and Harlequin is the drug supplied for the condition. Phil and Nick go to check Hibbut's room and discover a tablet bottle. Nick is hostile towards the cousin and tells him he let his cousin die. Mike is off the hook. Now an oil company that knows that there's oil under the reservation wants to get it before the Indians know about it, only problem is that Dr. Shannon site is where the oil is. So the oil company hires one of the men on her crew to do what it takes to get her to leave. But when that fails, he kills Dr. Shannon and frames Sam. While Walker and his deputy, George don't believe that Sam did it, the killer tells the Feds about Sam and Dr. Shannon, so they are about to arrest Sam and take him off the reservation, when Walker instructs George to arrest Sam so that he can remain on the reservation until they sort it out. Disturbed by him doing that in public and while at a crime scene, she suggests they take some time off, instead they decide to break it off. The owners of the restaurant thinks that this murder might be tied to another murder (one that Munch is working). Lewis confronts Kellerman about the Mahoney videotape and the need to let Stivers know that she is also ""in the soup."" Lewis tells Stivers about the videotape, so she demands a meeting with Kellerman. Falsone confronts his ex-wife about getting to see his son more often; however, they argue and he plans to pursue getting joint custody. Kellerman decides that he will try to force Georgia Rae's hand, since he doesn't plan on doing anything corrupt for her anyway.
