Many of the locals including Maggie and Blaketon receive anonymous letters. Phil has the job of tracking down the type writer which they were written on - he finds it at Claude's house - but Claude's not guilty as he's had a letter himself, he's embarrassed by its content but shows it to Nick and swears him to secrecy! It turns out that it was a local widow's husband who was responsible.

When three people die after coming in contact with something in the clinic, and one is deathly sick, Dr. Mike, Sully, Colleen, and Andrew but their heads together to find out what it was. They figure out that it was something in the clinic and now it is everywhere. In her case, on the instruments, the sheet. The only solution is to burn everything. When that is done, some are genorous enough to give Dr. Mike some of there things, but they are scared to come in. When Sully must get stitches, and lives after being treated by Dr. Mike, she begins the road to being reaccepted by Colorado Springs.

But she doesn't know that she is in fact the cruel Shang Tsung who transformed to look like Sheeva. The good forces break into Shao Kahn's castle and demand that Shao Kahn hands over his rule to the princess. Suddenly Shang Tsung appears with warriors of the real Sheeva. The magician is also after the power the monarch chair. But Tsung forgets one thing, Sheeva has enemies withing the outworld forces. Raiden finds out Shang Tsung's plan and disturbers the fight. The god of thunder brings with him the worst enemy of Sheeva, Motaro's squad. Mortal Kombat continues, but the insurrection failed and The Earth is still in danger.

Brodie continues to look for housing; the latest place he tried staying was the morgue. Kellerman is discouraged when it appears as though Cox may have only been looking for a one-night stand and nothing more-- so he takes a sick day. Gee takes some time out of his day to have a talk with Kellerman's former partners to see where they stand with him in regard to their testimonies to the grand jury. He also sees the Deputy Commissioner to see what can be done for Kellerman; what he learns instead are some truths about the Gaffney promotion.
