Dina leaves a love note for Michael on a painting that she thinks is his. It turns out to be Donkeylips' painting and he is thrilled that there is a girl that likes him. He starts leaving little gifts for Dina, who thinks that the gifts are being left by Michael. Eventually, Donkeylips asks Dina to the dance, leaving her with a choise of whether she will go with him or break his heart.

Tommy has received his favorite toy in the whole world -- a ball. Angelica, always looking to spoil the babies' fun, takes the ball and tosses it into the neighbors' yard, resulting in the babies risking life and limb looking for it.
Stu and Didi ended up taking Tommy to an important dinner at "Chez Ennui" with Mr. Mucklehoney (president of Mucklehoney Industries, a toy company), since Tiffany the babysitter (via telephone) and Grandpa have different plans (the babysitter's OTHER goldfish died and Grandpa was going bowling with a friend of his named Louise). Tommy, however, has plans of his own, and proceeds to get loose in the resturant kitchen, causing absolute chaos.
In the series premiere, we find the Funnie family have moved from Bloatsburg and are just arriving at their new home in the town of Bluffington. 11 year old Doug Funnie writes his thoughts in his journal and worries he won't be able to make any friends. On a search to find food for his Mom (Theda), Dad (Phil) and sister (Judy), Doug meets his next door neighbour Mr. Dink. He shows Doug a video about Bluffington and introduces him to the popular hangout fast food restaurant called The Honker Burger. When Doug gets to the hangout, he meets Skeeter Valentine who befriends him right away. Doug also meets Patti Mayonnaise and right away, has a secret crush on her. However, all is not well when he also meets the local bully Roger Klotz who tricks Doug into believing he has to catch a monster called a Neematoad at Stinsen's Pond to be a town hero.
Eddie pushes an ""ugly"" sister onto Martin to score points with Marsha. The ""ugly"" sister (Chloe) has a book (""The Feminist Manifesto"") she wants Martin to read. Martin likes Chloe (who isn't actually ugly), but hates the book. Reluctant to reveal his true feelings, and hoping his publisher with reject the book, Martin passes the book to Gibby. Gibby really likes the books market potential.
The group must put on the camp's presentation of Cinderella. Dina is cast as Cinderella with Michael as the prince. Telly must play an ugly step-sister and Donkeylips is the coachman. Dina comes down with stage fright, however, and skips most rehearsals. She spends most of the time signing autographs and acting like a star around camp.

A jealous Brenda slaps Andrea hard during their scene. She forgets about Chris when Dylan returns home from Hawaii. Chris decides to move to Los Angeles permanently, but reveals that he has a girlfriend. Brandon refuses Jim's help as he purchases his dream car. He ends up blowing all of his summer earnings on a lemon. Jim takes pity on him and pays for the necessary repairs. Kelly and Steve lament the imminent end of summer vacation. Charlie Mackenzie is an out of work reporter who wants his life back. One night while at his favorite bar hang out, Charlie meets a beautiful women who seems to turn his life around. He gets his job back, but his boss agrees to rehire him only if Charlie can bring in a murder story soon. One night while at Greek diner he overhears the owner strangle his girlfriend. Charlie interviews him and goes to where the body is, but she is not dead. Charlie discovers that it's his girlfriend Vicky. To make sure the paper's got enough evidence, he strangles her to death but the shock of the murder lands him in a mental hospital inside a padded cell.
Stu and Didi strive to make Tommy's first birthday a memorable one. They did, but under the wrong circumstances. Meanwhile Tommy wants to eat dog food so he can be just like Spike, eventually selling the other Rugrats on the idea.
Doug is excited about going to his first school costume dance, and possibly having the opportunity to dance with his dream girl, Patti. But Doug's excitement soon fades when Roger reminds him that he has no dancing talent, so Doug goes to Skeeter for dancing tips.
After Eddie and Martin are mugged twice, Martin gets a gun. The night he comes home with the gun, Martin surprises a burglar and holds him off with the gun. While waiting for the police to arrive, Martin feeds the burglar.

Doug makes a model of a volcano for a science project. But when rumor has it that the volcano erupted, and caused the whole science room to explode, Doug decides to disguise himself as Jack Bandit and go on the lam to avoid the cops.
In order to get out of the daily activties, Michael and Budnick fake being sick. They end up spemding the day in the nurse's station with no good food (the fridge has ice cream in it, but is locked), and watching spanish TV. Meanwhile, the day's activity, unknown to Michael and Budnick when they faked ill, is a trip to the beach. The others look forward to a day of fun in the sun, but Ug decides to put Z.Z. incharge of the map and they all get lost.
Jackie breaks her tooth during lunch at the beach club, but a nearby dentist comes to her rescue. He asks her out, then reveals that he is Mel Silver--David's father. Kelly is mortified when the pair hits it off, and imagines life as David's step-sister. She determines that she must break up the couple, and behaves rudely during a dinner. Kelly breaks down in tears and explains that she is afraid of losing her mother. She apologizes to Mel and helps David deal with the realization that his parents won't reunite. Andrea goads Brandon into spending time with a fatherless boy from the youth center. Brandon develops a friendship with the boy, then discovers that his mother is beating him. He grapples over whether to report the abuse. Brenda cannot stop thinking about Dylan while he is away in Hawaii.
Dixon is a lumberjack who marries a sexy barmaid named Liz Kelly. Soon after, he turns from sweet Dr. Jekyll into cruel Mr. Hyde. He is jealous of her when the boys find her attractive. One day a new lumberjack comes to town and Liz finds Ted attractive. When he catches them in the bed together, Dixon goes in a jealous rage and whacks him blinding him. The boys help him seek revenge on Dixon and Liz.
