In order to get out of the daily activties, Michael and Budnick fake being sick. They end up spemding the day in the nurse's station with no good food (the fridge has ice cream in it, but is locked), and watching spanish TV. Meanwhile, the day's activity, unknown to Michael and Budnick when they faked ill, is a trip to the beach. The others look forward to a day of fun in the sun, but Ug decides to put Z.Z. incharge of the map and they all get lost.

Season 2, Episode 5
Jackie breaks her tooth during lunch at the beach club, but a nearby dentist comes to her rescue. He asks her out, then reveals that he is Mel Silver--David's father. Kelly is mortified when the pair hits it off, and imagines life as David's step-sister. She determines that she must break up the couple, and behaves rudely during a dinner. Kelly breaks down in tears and explains that she is afraid of losing her mother. She apologizes to Mel and helps David deal with the realization that his parents won't reunite. Andrea goads Brandon into spending time with a fatherless boy from the youth center. Brandon develops a friendship with the boy, then discovers that his mother is beating him. He grapples over whether to report the abuse. Brenda cannot stop thinking about Dylan while he is away in Hawaii.

Dixon is a lumberjack who marries a sexy barmaid named Liz Kelly. Soon after, he turns from sweet Dr. Jekyll into cruel Mr. Hyde. He is jealous of her when the boys find her attractive. One day a new lumberjack comes to town and Liz finds Ted attractive. When he catches them in the bed together, Dixon goes in a jealous rage and whacks him blinding him. The boys help him seek revenge on Dixon and Liz.

Season 2, Episode 6
Martin has gone on many dates after Judith and Richard's wedding, but he can never seem to perform. After discussing the problem, reluctantly, with Judith, Martin decides to go see a shrink. While paying for the first session, Martin spots an attractive woman also paying her bill. They ride the elevator together, and after Martin saves her from choking, they hook up. Judith treats the woman, and runs into an ethical problem, as she knows that the woman has a problem with rage.

In order to win a lobster dinner, Sponge and Donkeylips enter the wrestling tournament. Unfortunately Sponge is too light to wrestle and Donkeylips is too heavy. Ug gives them a few days to change their weight, and Telly agrees to train them. Meanwhile, the other campers are trying to avoid the horrible camp food by getting Sponge and Donkeylips to sneak burgers into camp while they are out training.

Jim encourages Dylan to get in touch with his mother, but Dylan is too proud to ask her for financial help. Brandon, David, Steve and some friends hold an after-hours poker game at the beach club. Dylan joins them, and is furious when he loses a lot of money. The club suffers a break-in, and Brandon's boss is questioned because of a past (unjust) robbery conviction. In spite of Steve's objections, Brandon comes to Henry's defense by telling the police about the poker game. Dylan becomes the prime suspect after electronic equipment is found in his car. Brenda and her parents stand behind him, but Brandon becomes suspicious after finding pawn shop tickets. He wonders how cash-poor Dylan was able to afford a plane ticket to Hawaii. Dylan reveals that he has been forced to pawn his belongings from the family storage locker. He had finally called his mother, who paid for his ticket. A regretful reporter is investigating some murders of homeless people. He meets up with a man who is the prime suspect in the murders but when he fails to deliver a story his boss fires him. He then discovers that the new cemetery by a group called Ghouls is the cause for all the deaths in the neighborhood and guess who's the next victim.

Martin, while putting away Jeremy's laundry, comes across an adult magazine and a joint. Martin informs Judith, and they agree that Martin will have a talk with Jeremy. Jeremy agrees to not smoke pot, and Martin admits that he used to smoke pot a long time ago. After Martin discusses the matter with Eddie on the basketball court, they return to Martin's apartment. Eddie spots the joint and lights up. Martin joins him.

Sponge uses the camp phone without Ug's permission to call into a radio contest. He wins the first round of the contest and a $100 prize. In order to win the grand prize, $1000, he must stay awake for 24 hours and wait for a phone call from the DJ and answer more questions. In exchange for a cut of the prize money, the others help to keep Sponge awake, sneak him past Ug to the phone, and force him to study for the questions.

Season 2, Episode 3
Dylan's father is taken into custody, and all his assets are frozen. Dylan refuses to spend the summer in Hawaii with his flaky mother. He is injured in a surfing accident, and Cindy agrees to take care of him during his recovery. Jim and Brenda are unhappy with this arrangement. Jim catches Brenda and Dylan kissing, and orders Dylan to leave in two days. He sneaks out in the middle of the night and sleeps in a cabana at the beach club. Brandon finds him and convinces him to return to the Walsh house, where Jim helps him deal with his feelings about his father. Kelly gets a date with an attractive classmate, but is stung when he won't make a move on her. He admits that he is confused about his sexuality. Four boys who have a talent for video taping uncover some weird things at the undertaker's. Soon revenge comes when one the boy's father becomes a victim. They begin video taping the undertaker's evil deeds which he soon discovers in horror.

McMurphy agrees to attend a China Beach reunion planned by Boonie and recalls her last day in Vietnam, and travels to Washington DC with the others to visit the Vietnam Memorial. Karen comes to terms with the ghost of her absent mother, KC.

The gang forms a basketball team that must play in a small camp tournament to earn the privilege of representing Camp Anawanna in a big basketball tournament. If they lose, their pictures are taped to the bottom of a toilet seat in the main lodge. Telly is the team's coach, but no matter how hard she pushes them, they keep losing. Once Budnick takes over as coach, though, everything starts to turn around and they start to do well.

Brandon befriends Jerry Rattinger, an influential sports promoter and member of the beach club. At the same time, he looks to romance Sandy, a beleaguered co-worker who is many years his senior. Dylan warns Brandon that Sandy is not the right woman for him. Jerry wishes to hire Brandon as his gopher and loan him money for a new car. Brandon does not understand why Jim disapproves. Jerry asks Brandon to drive his wife home; Mrs. Rattinger reveals that her husband wanted her out of the way so that he could spend time with his mistress, Sandy. Brandon severs all ties with Jerry, who tries to have him fired from the club. Sandy decides to leave town in the hopes of getting her life in order. As an acting class assignment, Brenda tries to recreate the experience of being lost in a mall as a child.

Jack is an artist who has a strange talent for painting pictures of corpses. One day he falls for a beautiful girl who tempts him into painting more. Jack turns over a new leaf for his love. One day she is the victim of a hit and run. Jack kills a man outside the hospital to pay for her operation but she dies because the man he killed was the man who was going to perform her operation.
