A Judoon officer Captain Tybo is pursuing a renegade Vail called Androvax, who is bent on destroying all the planets in the galaxy. He takes over and possesses Sarah Jane who, acting out of character because of the possession, orders Mr. Smith to auto-destruct. A countdown of one minute begins.

Finally, Sheriff Forbes and Mayor Lockwood take steps to protect the town.
