Barry, having seen Ash defeat a Gym Leader he lost to, declares that Ash is a rival if Ash can beat the leader of the Canalave Gym. Meanwhile, Jessie, as her alter ego, Jessilina, wins her second ribbon using her Yanmega in the Majolica Town Contest!
