The building boom in Amity Park upsets Undergrowth, the ghost of all things plant-like and vegetative. The green-thinking ghost takes over the town, turning everyone into plants themselves. All except Sam, that is, whom he makes his Earth-loving queen. Unfortunately, Undergrowth brainwashes Sam and uses her to attack Danny! Danny, meanwhile, has been battling a nasty case of the chills that leaves him too weak to fight. Escaping from Undergrowth in the Ghost Zone, Danny turns to his cold-loving friend, Frostbite,who explains that Danny is developing a new power. Now, Danny must learn to master his new freezing skill so that he can make his way back to Amity Park and pull the town out of Undergrowth’s leafy clutches.

The Megacruiser flies solo in space, and inside Kevin examines the giant ice block found in space. Inside the mass, held Vilgax, and Kevin underestimated his current situation. He was very much alive and well, and they soon create a partnership after learning that they were both after the same person. On Earth, Ben plays around with the Omnitrix, hoping to find a better way of controlling it. Eventually, he finds the master control of the Omnitrix, giving him the ability to alternate between aliens, as well as prolong his duration with a form. Although his discovery has given him a stronger advantage, will it be enough to stop the danger that lies ahead?

As a favor to Derwin, Melanie attends the first Saber Sunbeam meeting of the season, only to learn that unlike the wives, football players' "girlfriends" are not considered legitimate and are treated as such by the other wives. On the same day, Derwin attends his first rookie seminar where he is given a lecture about gold diggers, STDs and is hazed by the other players. Later that night, Melanie and Derwin attend a party where Melanie, has a conversation with another player and is perceived to be flirting with him. When the player's girlfriend confronts Melanie, she realizes the rules of the game in the pros will take some getting use to.

Eventually they find protection in Roostre's secret ammo hold.
