Abby and Luka desperately try to keep a young woman brought into the ER with stab wounds to the neck alive. As her condition begins to worsen, Clemente steps in and tries a risky procedure on the girl in order to save her life. Meanwhile, Neela pulls an all-nighter in preparation for a speech at a surgeon's convention, Ray treats a man claiming to have swallowed a bottle of pills, and Sam decides to take a part-time job with Richard to help her with childcare expenses.

As Ash and the others finally arrive at the Battle Tower, Ash does some last minute training with Pikachu. He is suddenly attacked by a Beedrill and a girl comes to his rescue. After sending Beedrill away, they are attacked by a Gyarados and she once again talks to it and helps it calm down. Soon, Team Rocket attacks wanting Pikachu and this human who can talk to Pokémon. After fending Team Rocket off, she introduces herself as Anabel. Before Anabel can properly introduce herself, Ash runs off to the Battle Tower only to find out Anabel is the Frontier Brain. As the battle begins, Ash quickly falls behind as Anabel can speak with Pokémon through telepathy. Can Ash manage to get past her special ability and win his sixth Frontier Symbol?

Darnell convinces the gang to believe that Y2K will signal the end of the world and they, happily, will be the last people on Earth.

Cash's sidekick Woody is in a sweat. He never meant to kill Seb, just rob his car. Whilst Woody is winding himself up, Cash is keeping his cool - all's fair in love and war. Joly and Matt are so proud of their new business venture and Joly can't wait to have both their names up on the licence plate but Matt is surprisingly reluctant to have his on it. Why is he being so evasive? Sparks are flying in the brasserie's kitchen between Rees and Lizzy. But Chanel soon puts a stop to their flirting. For someone who claims not to care about Rees, she is certainly taking an active interest in his love life. It is the official opening party and Joly is thrilled her long lost friend X Factor's Rowetta, is able to officially kick things off for Canteen. Cash makes an unwelcome appearance at the party with a stunning antique necklace for Yas in the hope of winning her back. But where did he get it - and will Yasmin say yes? Desperate to cover his tracks, Cash is forced to torch his car when he discovers the police are closing in.

Since Grim is so used to having two kids with him when they go on an adventure, he enlists Mindy and Pud'n to help him combat Skarr and retrieve his scythe. Mindy and Pud'n prove to be worthy substitutes but they are scared away by Mandy when she notices the unusual trio
