Meanwhile, after testifying in a murder trial, Mac is confronted by the defendant, Quinn Sullivan, who questions the validity of the evidence. Mac is torn between trusting science or his desire to help a man facing jail time who swears he's innocent. Also, when a truck kills a barely clad woman early one morning, the team investigates why she was running through the streets and from whom.

They soon find out that a past villain who has a grudge against them has taken over the gated community and turned its inhabitants into ghouls bent on destroying the spies. In a b-story Jerry is going to his first ever Halloween party and keeps seeking the girls' advice on costumes.

The young woman finally identifies Carol Rogers as the person who solds her the drugs, but when detectives go to confront Carol they find her body, and are left trying to uncover who really killed Carol.
