After heading to the lab, Hulk is convinced to go into the nutrient bath. After interference from Glenn Talbot the experiment goes awry, but Banner and Hulk are separated. SHIELD takes the Hulk's unconscious body from General Ross. Doc Sampson tries to rescue to Hulk but only manages to break him free. Hulk attacks Sampson and escapes without Banner's influence to control him.

The Viper needs a driver, so when Outfit driver Michael Payton is injured and captured, his memory is erased, and he is given a new identity as Joe Astor, MetroPol employee.
