His attempt backfires as Lucas de Beaumanoir discovers that Rebecca and Bois-Guilbert are hiding in the monastery. He believes she is a scorceress and threatens to burn her at the stake. Meanwhile Prince John and Fitzurse plot to assassinate King Richard- but the planned ambush goes wrong and Fitzurse dies.
