Liam helps Augur break his CVI and bring him back from the rage. Lazarus, the overseer of the program, was brought back to normal by Da'an.

Its Thing's birthday. Thing opens Fester's mail and Fester and the family yell at him and none of them remember his birthday, so Thing runs away. The stress of fighting with Thing causes Fester to start growing hair on his head.

In an act of desperation, he uses his art teacher, Old Mr. Pygmalion's, trick and creates a young woman out of clay. He calls Aphrodite herself to make his true love come to life, but when she asks about his clay creation's personality, all he comes up with is "make her crazy about me!" Aphrodite reluctantly obliges, and brings Galatea to life! Hercules is initially smitten, but soon realizes that Galatea is, in fact, crazy.....

Amanda goes to Peter's office to confront him, and the two are trapped in an elevator during a citywide power outage. Peter realizes that he has been cold to Eve because he is afraid of destroying another relationship. Michael is forced to take an apartment due to structural damage at the beach house. Alex threatens to pull his account unless Amanda helps him win over Jane. Michael is mistaken for a looter and arrested. Alex sneaks into Jane's apartment and makes a pass at her. Megan and Ryan bond over a lost dog and share a rooftop kiss, but she quickly rejects him. Lexi shows up at the building during the blackout, and Ryan ogles her as she swims in the nude.

Annie's father, Charles is getting married to his girlfriend Ginger. The wedding reception is supposed to be at the Camden's house and Annie is the one in charge of preparing the menu. Annie isn't enthusiastic about the wedding and the reception. On her way to the grocery store, she meets a homeless veteran and invites him home. He is the one ending up preparing the menu since he was a chef for forty years. Also, Matt and Mary are taking a little road trip, which ends up being very long when they get a flat tire. Simon is spending the day with his new girlfriend Deena. Lucy is spending the day with Jordan, the guy she can now call her boyfriend. Lastly, Ruthie is feeling lonely, so she pretends her imaginary friend Huey is back the whole day.

Del has hired Caroline and Annie to provide the voices for his new promotional video, but when he comes to pick them up it turns out they have to perform it for the boss first as a puppet show - about menstruation. While Annie is in her office, Caroline searches in Richard's desk for a highlighter and finds his divorce papers, and Richard angrily denounces her invasion of his privacy. Of course Annie immediately lifts the papers, is forced to hide them from Richard, sees them dumped down the corporate mail chute, and has to enlist Caroline's help to wheedle them back from the bizarre and hostile mail room staff - leaving a reluctant Richard and a strangely eager Charlie to act out the puppet show for Mr. MacDermott, who reveals that he is only doing the animated cartoon as part of a community service sentence. Sutton's hope is to unite him with his daughter, and his wife Lucy so that they may all work together to take over the world by resurrecting more of the undead to serve as the new unhuman race. While battling Barzun's dark magic, Johnny/NightMan learns that he's a ""chosen one"" and that the lightning strike was no accident.
