MacLeod remembers WWII London where he and the woman he loved, reporter Diane Terrin, were trapped in a bombed air-raid shelter during the Blitz, running out of time and air. MacLeod is desperate to rescue Anne before he loses her like he lost Diane.

However, pressure on both of them to fight off the idea of losing their respective jobs (Hetty calls for a comparative test between the students of Avonlea Public School and those of the Carmody School) makes them realize that, though they may love each other, they are too career-oriented to be married to one another.

Now all the kids at Farber High are bringing old men to the Homecoming dance instead of hot dates. Wyatt's on a mission to find the computer hacker and get Lisa looking like her usual self.
