Joey is on a mission, looking for steady work. He finds a job as a deck hand with the owner of a fishing trawler. After a few nights out at sea the two men bond and Joey gets some invaluable advice from his new boss that may help to turn his life around. He decides to give it one more try with Fifi and goes to her with a definite plan. Meanwhile, Fifi's career in the Rural Fire Service is under threat when she discovers that Sharpie and Svettie 'borrowed' a fire truck to water their cash crop. Backa smells a rat and gives Fifi a grilling. Will she give up her father and Svettie? Lill rushes home to be with Perry and get their relationship back on track, however, she's still hurt and subconsciously pushes him away, and he knows it; especially once he realises his wife is spending more time with the fire brigade than with him. When Backa and Lill are rostered on to do some routine work down at the station, what is meant to be a 30-minute job turns into an eternity when they are called out to a motor vehicle accident. Perry is drunk and angry when Lill returns home. Life is getting complicated. Word is out that developers are coming over the rise with a plan to build a giant golf course and resort and everyone must face the fact that their town may be changed forever.

Even during the battle, Ash and May bicker at each other, causing them to lose. Team Rocket gets challenged as well, causing Jessie and James to annoy each other. Just as they meet up with the twerps, James sides with Ash and Jessie with May to have another Tag Battle, which displeases Brock, Max, Pikachu and Meowth who just want the feud to end.

Ride Owner: Jared. Male. Owner's Ride: 1985 Ford Ranger. Jared's ride is in rough shape. He delivers car parts for a living. Since the Ranger is less than reliable, Jared misses out on other jobs that he needs to make some money for school. With rotting paint, ripped-up seats, a zig-zag antenna and "bobble head" mirrors, Jared thinks that his other mode of transportation, skateboarding, would be safer than trusting in the Ranger. Jared doesn't have to worry anymore, because in the words of X, "We're going to take this pick up and really pick it up!" Xzibit is about to pimp his ride. Colin's heroin addict seems to have gotten worse! Neil makes a sad and touching announcement to the girls on the wing. He then decides to demote Di from her wing-governor position in favour for a fresh face. The officers are amazed as their new wing-governor walks in... it's Frances!
