She hasn't worked for years, but hopes that Drew can give her a job at the store to help her get back on her feet. He hires Wendy as his assistant, and tries unsuccessfully to hide the truth from Kate. Kate gets jealous and storms off. While at the Warsaw, Drew receives a call from a panicked Wendy, who fears that her ex-boyfriend has tracked her down. Mimi overhears and suspects that the whole thing is a ploy to get Drew into bed. Drew begins to agree with her after he arrives at Wendy's apartment to find her in her underwear. She claims that her radiator is broken. Even after Wendy's ex-boyfriend shows up, Drew still believes it is a scam. He changes his mind after the guy punches him.

Donna feels that Dr. Martin would still be alive if Gina hadn't discovered he was her father, even though Donna was the one who shared this information. Dylan grows tired of Kelly's whining and moralizing. He and Gina decide to leave town. Gina is not allowed to sit with immediate family at the funeral. However, she goes to the front of the church and finishes the eulogy when Donna is unable to continue. Felice embraces her and accepts her as part of the family. Dylan decides that he shouldn't leave Los Angeles because he has unfinished business with Kelly. Gina says goodbye to Donna and embarks on a cross-country road trip. David comforts Donna throughout her ordeal. Kelly takes a public relations job to ease the financial burden

A few weeks have passed since Elliott and Kaylene started dating, and the two are starting to get extremely close. A little too close, as far as Elliott is concerned. Things are moving very quickly between them, and Elliott just doesn't feel like he can commit that deeply to her. He and Maya start chatting about it in his studio one night, and instantly, the spark between them returns. Before they realize it, Maya and Elliott are finally sleeping together. Maya wastes no time in chastising herself for it the next day. She claims that Elliott sleeping with her was only the result of his fear of committing to Kaylene, and that she now occupies a position she had previously treated with scorn and ridicule -- that of the "other woman". Elliott doesn't see it that way. He tries to tell her so, but she won't listen.
