Barry Philbrick has testified that his wife, Kelly Philbrick married him solely for his money. He claims that at the time of their marriage, she wasn't in love with him, that her wedding vow was a lie and that she admitted it in a letter to a close friend that Barry found. Kelly readily admits to her lack of feelings for Barry: she loved him but she was never in love with him. On the stand Kelly admitted that she had been writing to an imaginary friend: the man of her dreams, who then became the standard by which every real man in her life had to measure up too.

Dr. Visconti puts her under hypnosis to trigger her memories. Lexi takes Eve to the murder site, where she realizes that Kent did not die from his fall; Amanda beat him to death and tricked her into accepting blame. Megan catches a naked Terry kissing Ryan. She wants to call off the engagement, but Terry apologizes and admits that she caught Ryan by surprise. Terry pretends to leave town, and Ryan and Megan get married. Terry kidnaps Sarah and crashes her car into a utility pole. Jane discovers that she is pregnant, but doesn't tell Kyle.

When Robert and Amy have sex in Robert's apartment, they forgot to close the curtains. It doesn't take long for the other tenants to launch a partition to make curtains mandatory. Humiliated, the loving couple are desperate to find a new make-out spot. Debra wants Ray to help them, so he offers Robert and Amy the Barone household basement.

Becker fears that Reggie may get the wrong idea if he asks her to be his date at a medical fundraiser. Fearing that Reggie will misread his invitation, Becker struggles to find someone else to take to the event. Despite his resistance, his friends insist that he should just ask Reggie. The ongoing pressure causes Becker to recall the first time he was rejected by the opposite sex, as Prequel Monday concludes with a flashback sequence of a 10-year-old Becker asking a little girl to a school dance.
