Greg, Ben and Ollie get into trouble with Geoff over the beer brewing and are warned not to make anymore trouble. Jack jumps Liam because he thinks he's a burglar only to find out he will be staying there. Liam avoids answering questions about anything Rob is waiting for the council to approve a fete and Geoff passes on the good news that it has been granted. Cher has finished some of the samples for Jake to sell and now have to decide on a logo and brand name.

When the financial realities of Greg's unemployment sink in, Dharma takes on a slew of new jobs and makes a deal with the devil to make ends meet: she accepts covert checks from Kitty in exchange for expanded mother/daughter-in-law time spent together. Only when Edward takes Greg to a high-power suits party while Kitty takes her to the opera to see ""Faust"" does Dharma come to her senses and rush back just in time to prevent Greg from accepting a corporate job.

Sleet and Dingo escape the Flying Fortress with the Chaos Emerald. In a fight over who will control the Emerald's power, Sleet and Dingo drop and break the Emerald in two. Instantly, a rash of earthquakes and other natural disasters are sparked by the emerald's energy. Knuckles and the Hedgehogs turn to a relative of Knuckles for answers of how to stop Mobius from being slowly devoured by the emerald's force.

Robotnik announces that he will marry Queen Aleena in a plot to become the king of Mobius. Upon hearing the alarming news and shocked that their enemy will become their stepfather, Sonic, Manic and Sonia become suspicious that this wedding may be a trap and decide to investigate. The Hedgehogs, aided by Bartleby, are hired to play music for the ceremony. Disguised as 18th century musicians, Sonic and his siblings crash the wedding hoping to find the Queen and bring to light this most obvious sham.

One of the more hard to believe stories, this episode focuses on Perry and his life. His mother was sent to prison for murdering her husband ten years previous with an axe. Perry lived through the torments at school but he had long since forgotten about his mother. But Aunt Thom plans to break his mother out of jail and he has to help.

On September 14, 1998, a Hollywood Squares revival debuted with Tom Bergeron as its host. In addition to her production duties, Whoopi Goldberg served as the permanent center square, with series head writer Bruce Vilanch, Gilbert Gottfried, Martin Mull, and Caroline Rhea as regular panelists and Brad Garrett, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jeffrey Tambor, George Wallace, Kathy Griffin and various others as semi-regular panelists. Shadoe Stevens returned to announce, although he was not given a square on the panel as he had been when John Davidson was host.
