What Danny doesn't want Stephanie to know is that he has arranged for Tommy to be at the party, but he wants to surprise Stephanie, and that's why he told Stephanie he wouldn't invite Tommy. After Stephanie's party begins, Danny brings Tommy home with him, and Stephanie is shocked. Stephanie just happens to have a monumental crush on Tommy, but Stephanie is devastated when she later sees Tommy and D.J. kissing. Stephanie declares war on D.J. for this, until Tommy helps straighten things out between them.

During the ""lessons,"" Joey makes telephone calls, bets on horse races and gives his students no musical guidance at all. Roc and Eleanor, endure the horrible trumpet noises coming from the living room and hope that the children will improve in time. Then Roc promises Reverend Hill that Joey and his students will play in the churh's next musical recital.

Victoria wants to sell a South American gold ring, and the ring sets in motion strange events for Lovejoy and Jane, including safecracking, kidnapping, polo and betrayal.
