On career day at D.J.'s school, the family encourages Jesse and Joey to continue to work together in the advertising business, but without Mr. Malatesta, so with the help of a loan from Danny, who wants to be a silent partner, Jesse and Joey open up their own business.

A rich but reclusive girl invites the entire school (except the freshmen) to a party at her house, complete with a live rock band. Freshmen David and Scott crash the party, and the drunken Steve asks David to drive him home. David accidentally damages the car, prompting Steve to begin a frantic search for the culprit. Brandon connects with the hostess, Marianne, and goes on a date with her. He insinuates that they slept together, prompting rumors to fly at school. Andrea is disappointed in him. Brandon clears the air about Marianne over the campus radio station. He follows Andrea home to explain himself, and discovers that she lives out of district. Brenda and her friends get fake IDs
Baloo and Rebecca finally become friends. Baloo is hired to fly in a film.
Freddie befriends Alex, an eight-year-old foster child who attends the community center. She is horrified after visiting an adoption fair and watching all of the potential parents ignore Alex in favor of infants and toddlers. Professor Randolph speaks out on the plight of foster children, but Freddie accuses him of hypocrisy when he says that he and his wife would only adopt a baby. A disheartened Alex runs away from the adoption center and finds Freddie at Ron and Dwayne's place. Whitley tries to bond with the boy to make herself look good in front of Dwayne. Walter finally shows up to retrieve Alex, after Whitley and Freddie try their best to hide him. Mr. Gaines, Walter and Col. Taylor all wish to apply for adoption, but are told that they need to take more time to think it over. Professor Randolph and his wife decide to begin the process of adopting Alex; although Freddie's comments were out of line, the professor realized that she was right.

At the advice of Skeletor, Flogg contacts Master Sebrian and gives Primus some Zeps as a goodwill gift for peace between Primus and Denebria. Once Primus is filled with Zeps, Skeletor and Flogg activate their remote that turns the Zeps into hideous beasts that attack the Primans. He-Man discovers that the Zeps are actually androids and that there are too many for him to fight all at once.
