Season 1, Episode 5
With Madeline locked in her room and nearly starving to death, Justin convinces the doctor to prescribes a daily dose of laudanum despite its addictive qualities. Madeline is soon a very different woman: submissive and with few words to say, having little memory of her love affair with Orry and their decision to run off together. Orry and Brett travel to Philadelphia where he wants to give his good friend George Hazard his share of the profits from their joint cotton mill. Unfortunately while there, Virgilia has a confrontation with Orry over slavery. Orry and Brett leave and it will be some time before before he and George see one another. On the trip home, they are stopped by a group led by abolitionist John Brown. Ashton, now married to James Hontoon, still spends a good deal of her time in bed with her other lovers. The secession movement quickly gains ground and war is seen as inevitable should Abraham Lincoln win the forthcoming elections.

Hunter ends up in San Pablo wanting to shoot Raul Mariano, the man who raped McCall and shot Hunter. McCall comes and tries to stop Hunter from killing Mariano. She fails, and Hunter shoots Mariano four times. After, Hunter and McCall must escape from an army that is trying to kill them.

The Wuzzles are forced to leave their homes when a toonado of humbugs (part humming bird, part locust) create a lot of noise in Wuz. They decide to camp out, but end up in a ghost town named Wuzzle Gulch. When some very strange ghosts arrive, it's time to call in the Ghostrustlers. When the ghosts tell the Wuzzles that Crock is digging for gold, they manage to scare him out of the Gulch for good.

Mumm-Ra hires Captain Shiner no send a fake distress signal to the Thundercats. With their new vehicle, the Feliner, the Thundercats set out into deep space to help the "ship in distress". When they arrive, Shiner captures Lion-O and the Sword of Omens. He gives the Sword to Mumm-Ra, and Mumm-Ra throws it into a black hole. Cheetara returns to Third Earth to get Panthro. They rescue Lion-O, and seize Shiner's ship. Panthro sets a course into the black hole to recover the Sword. They enter, and must battle the robotic city of lost space ships to recover the Sword of Omens and escape.

Challenge of the GoBots

Challenge of the GoBots is an American animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera, based on the Gobots toy-line released from Tonka. The show originally debuted in animated form as a five-part miniseries, which aired in syndication from October 29 - November 2, 1984. A regular series followed the next year, premiering on September 16, 1985 as part of the new weekday/weekend morning programming block called The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. The series was later rerun on the USA Cartoon Express.

A teacher on a violent and gang infested high school has trouble controlling her students. The building is warded by some mysterious gargoyles, which give some special powers to the teacher. A Vietnam Vet named Billy saves an old man named Gasper from a mugging at a cemetery. He discovers that this old man holds the future of time in his watch.
