Hilton Cubitt, from Derbyshire, consults Holmes about a series of dancing men picture-messages his wife is receiving. On their wedding-day, she had made Cubitt promise he would ask her nothing about her past, but she now seems to be terrified. Holmes has to decipher the code of the matchstick men and get to the bottom of a dreadful murder which lies behind it.

The King is planning for himself a dynastic marriage and is worried about a compromising photograph in the possession of his American former mistress. Blake's fortune now rests on the decision of a group of bankers, who will decide whether to extend his loan or call in the debt immediately. Alexis hires Tracy to obtain confidential information on Averell Dawson, Blake's banker. Shortly thereafter, Blake learns his extension has been denied. Jeff and Fallon celebrate their engagement. A police officer arrives and announces that Mark Jennings has died after falling from Alexis' penthouse balcony.

"The Princess and the Pea" is great family fun!

As Blake confronts Alexis with his knowledge of her plot with Rashid Ahmed, Mark, on the balcony, listens with interest. Alexis is prepared to buy his silence. Blake travels to Hong Kong and learns Ahmed has left the country, leaving Denver-Carrington's money with the government. In Joseph's old bungalow, Kirby confronts Alexis, but her plan to kill her is foiled. After Mark successfully blackmails Alexis, McVane arrives and reminds him they're in this business together. Nervous that McVane will learn of his $100,000 hit on Alexis, Mark quickly opens an account at a local bank, as McVane looks on.
The Club Ten resort is a center of diamond smuggling. One of the gang, Felipe, has double-crossed his cohorts and they are after him. Golf pro Ted and henchman Randy catch him, and when he refuses to divulge the whereabouts of the diamonds he stole, they capture his companion, Laura Ferguson, in the act of making a call for help.
Mama can't get anyone to go with her to Carl's grave, so she goes by herself. After arriving and having a long talk with Carl, Mama notices that the grave next to Carl's, that was supposed to be reserved for her, has another women's name on it instead. She panics and rushes home. Ellen arrives an hour late (as usual) to take Mama to the cemetary, just as Mama comes in and tells everyone what she's just discovered. Fran and Mama soon head back to the cemetary to get the problem cleared up. It turns out Carl's head stone was accidently placed two plots down. So Mama feels like she's been cheating on Carl and says Carl has to send her a gift to let her know, it's ok. Meanwhile, Sonya goes out with a loser named Michael and he ends up flirting with a sophomore cheerleader who likes him and Sonya dumps him. He then shows up with flowers and after Sonya refuses to talk to him, he gives the flowers to Mama. Who takes it as Carl's sign that everything's ok.
Dr. Robert Winchester is a brilliant researcher and a former test pilot who helped design Airwolf. Now, he's asking for Hawke's help in test flying a simulator that he's designed to enable the Firm to train future test pilots to fly Airwolf. Reluctantly, Hawke agrees, but determines that the simulator's "feel" is a little off. Archangel convinces Hawke to let Winchester hook up the real Airwolf to his computers in order to get a more realistic demonstration. This allows Winchester to engage in a little friendly flying competition with Hawke but it also allows the Russians to nearly get their hands on the high tech super copter.

Alexis recovers quickly and dismisses Krystle with the fact that she's been through four pregnancies. Krystle catches the slip, and Alexis explains one pregnancy miscarried. Fallon and Jeff announce their plans to remarry. The Carringtons are stunned to hear that Rashid Ahmed has created an international incident by announcing that Blake is planning a military attack on another world power involved in the China Seas oil deal.
