Gonzo turns to John for help, but John ends up pulling the rest of his limbs out to match. Meanwhile, John isn't pleased with being on the show. He's tied to his chair before the show, he complains about the number of pigs and monsters on the show, and he gets roped into doing a closing number.

Ponch is giving a ticket to his old high school principal who asked him to tell about the CHP in his old school on career day. Jon and Ponch respond to a call about a traffic jam, they find that everyone's gawking at models nearby. Since Ponch's motorcycle needs repairs, Getraer sticks him on the front desk. When the helicopter pilot comes, Ponch jumps at the chance to leave. In the helicopter he helps Jon to find a lost boy and two elusive burglars. Later that afternoon as then Ponch gives his speech, he freezes up and Jon helps him by telling about saving the kid. Then Ponch wakes up and starts telling exaggerated stories without help.

A celebrated author utterly disillusioned with the war, Neville must decide where his true loyalties lie when Romsey turns up on his doorstep.

Unfortunately, the kids get into a melee when Susan punches a heckler at David and Tommy's singing appreance and Tom has to remortage the house to pay the damages as seven of his children were arrested after a fight in the nightclub. David waits for the results of his contractor's exam. Nicholas felt left out since he was never arrested.

Meanwhile, Winchester has taped a letter home, asking for his influential parents to help get him back to the States. To get even, Hawkeye and B.J. switch Winchester's clothes, causing Winchester to alter his eating patterns.
