When on a cattle drive on Ponderosa land, the Cartwrights and Candy find a dying cavalry officer on the trail. With his last breath, he asks them to go help his commanding officer, Captain Harris. Riding atop a slope, they see Captain Harris and his soldiers fighting off Mexican bandits who are trying to steal the four kegs of gold hidden in the Army ambulance. The Cartwrights and Candy cut right between the soldiers and the Mexican bandits, in a spectacular chase through a little valley and wind up at a high and rocky outcrop, taking cover and assisting the soldiers.

Season 3, Episode 1
The Archbishop of Povia must designate a heir to succeed the departed king as regent, as the king left no heir. General Qaisette plans to seize the throne in a coup if he isn't named. The IMF spread rumors that Princess Celine, who disappeared as a child, is returning. Cinnamon studies Celine's life. Barney and Willey lead Qaisette to Phelps who has an elderly blind Celine/Cinnamon. Thanks to Rollin who claims to be a doctor who knows about the ""real"" Celine's crippled arm, Qaisette believes he can use the ""fake"" Celine to discredit the Archbishop. But Cinnamon manages to pass every test (with some help from Barney) and Rollin ingeniously sneaks out before Qaisette can call him as a witness. Cinnamon-as-Celine has Qaisette arrested and then abdicates the throne, disappearing once more.

Meanwhile Ed, Eve and Mark deal with their own worries and fears for the Chief as the murder attempts escalate.

When they meet, Sonny offers to help the convent and asks Sister Bertrille to write a song, they'll record, and she'll get the royalties. She writes a very sixties image-laden song that the Sundowners turn into an all out acid-fuzz-psychedelic-trip! All the nuns go to the go-go club to hear the song's debut and flip out when presented with a trippy strobe light show, caged go-go dancers and background vocal lines like ""grow your own,"" and ""magic mushrooms!"" Mr Drysdale congratulates the Clampetts for reaching the sum of $80,000,000 in his bank. Jethro tells Jed he heard on the radio that the Queen Elizabeth was sold to Philadelphia. Jed rings Faversham in London & he confirms this. Says they sold both Queens to the U.S. (However he meant the Ocean Liners,Queen Mary & Queen Elizabeth.Not the people.) Jed thinks that the Queen must be having money trouble & wants to help. He wants to withdraw his money & give it to the Queen. He's sure Mr Drysdale won't mind,it must be a worry for him looking after all that money. When Mr Drysdale hears about this he hires an actor to play the Queen's Minister of Finance to accept the money & give it back to Mr Drysdale. But things don't go the way Mr Drysdale planned, When the actor found out Jed was rich,he sold him Canada & gave him the deed to take to the Queen herself.
