Victoria persuades husband John Cannon to send the boys to her father's rancho for the cattle after his brother Buck Cannon is injured. Manolito bargains with his father, Don Sebastian Montoya, for his second best bull. Don Sebastian thinks the boys are pulling a prank and hires bandits to steal the bull. They boys make a desperate attempt to catch the thieves and still prove their trustworthiness.

Dr. Stillwell creates the Scorpion on J. Jonah Jameson's behalf to capture Spider-Man. The Scorpion attacks Spider-Man, who escapes. However, the Scorpion's evil nature takes over as his strength increases which causes him to go after Jameson.
Speed, Spritle, and Chim Chim take the Mach 5 out for a test drive. The radio announces that Tongue Blaggard has escaped from prison. The Racers meet a girl and her grandfather whose Model T has broken down on the road. Speed offers to help, but the old man declines. Later, the Racers find the broken down Model T again. This time, the old man accepts Speed's help. While the Racers dine with the old man, the granddaughter, and his adopted children, Blaggard steals the Model T, hoping that it is the one that once belonged to the crook Light Fingers Clepto. Speed vows to recover the stolen vehicle. The old man, unashamed, tells who his father was. Trixie spots the Model T from her helicopter and brings it into Pops' garage for repairs. Before long, a line of Model T's has formed, all with engine trouble. Speed finds this peculiar and uncovers the old man's original engine, finding a secret code number etched on it by Light Fingers Clepto (the old man's father).
Speed avoids colliding with Tongue Blaggard's squad of motorcyclists. But Tiny, Blaggard's sumo bodyguard knocks him out. To save Mr. Clepto from Tiny's death-grip, Speed tells Blaggard the location of what we learn is $1 billion in gold. Speed telephones Pops and leaves Trixie a message: forget about the $650 ring as a signal for help. Guarded by Blaggard's men, Speed, in his Mach 5, heads to Misty Valley, the location of the hidden treasure. They overnight in a lodge and Speed radios for help. However, Blaggard stops him and accidentally sends the homing robot home. Meanwhile, at the Racers, Trixie, who says she was "stood up" by Speed, awakens Pops. Spritle blames the homing robot for waking him. Alarmed, Trixie rushes off to find Speed. The next morning, one of Blaggard's thugs enters the lodge with Lana, a Misty Valley native (Trixie in disguise). On the road, "Lana" and Speed escape and proceed to a village where Pops waits.
