Professor Robinson discovers that the planets orbit will bring immense heat on the spaceship. With that knowledge the Robinson's take off in the chariot and head south. However back at the Jupiter two, Dr Smith who stayed behind because he believed them to be lying, realises that the orbit is strange, bringing immense cold followed by extreme heat. He sends the Robot to tell them, and they then attempt to travel back to the Jupiter 2. However in their way is a huge in-land sea which previously had been frozen solid. The immense heat and cold make the vegetation charred. They survive the heat and return to the Jupiter Two where they are most safe.
The Fugitive
Season 3, Episode 5
While working as a steward at a remote desert resort, Kimble is unaware that the area is a top-secret government test site for chemical weapons. Kimble tries to leave, but gets mistaken for a spy by Major Beck, the head of the project. When several staff members, including the staff physician, suffer from a resulting chemical explosion, Kimble is pressed into service to care for the wounded, unaware that Beck still plans to turn him into the army general leading the project.

Warren, enforcing a gambling ordinance to the letter of the law, arrests Aunt Bee and her women friends (meaning, most of Mayberry) for running a Bingo game. Everyone's furious at Warren, particularly Andy, who becomes even more frustrated when Warren resists pleas to drop the charges (in fact, the deputy really digs into his position). Aunt Bee and her friends soon demand a trial. Later, the men of Mayberry (with their children in tow, some of them crying) bother Andy and Opie at home when Warren still won't drop the charges. Eventually, the charges are dropped and Aunt Bee's good name is cleared once more.

On the planet Kembel, Marc Cory, a Space Security Service agent discovers The Daleks are attending a secret meeting with their allies. Kimble's sister Donna summons him home with a possible break in the case: a letter from James Eckhardt, a former U.S. Army captain whom also saw the one-armed man fleeing from the Kimble's house on the night of Helen's murder. Kimble meets with Eckhardt who agrees to help the fugitive out. Eckhardt's story seems strong enough to clear Kimble. But unknown to either men, another witness comes forward: a convict in prison for drug dealing, who reveals that he used to sell heroin to Eckhart for a Korean War battle wound and that Eckhardt was on his way to see him that night to buy some drugs, which is more than enough for Gerard to discredit Eckhardt's testimony.

After Ogee tells a friend that the Purple Mask will be coming to her house to meet her, he doesn’t believe her and asks if he can go over to meet him. However, she gets a letter from the super hero canceling his visit. At seeing how heartbroken Ogee is as a result, Magilla decides to dress up as the Purple Mask to help Ogee out of her predicament.
