Nick brings a lawsuit again the pharmaceutical company, Bendaprine, on behalf of Hunter Reed and his mother's estate for 10 million dollars. But, when Alvin Masterson gets wind of it he insists that Nick drop the case, being that it is a conflict of interest. Nick is quick to point out that Alvin took him off of Hunter's case and therefore he is acting within his rights as a lawyer for Fallin & Assoc. Meanwhile, James gets handed a case involving a 12-year-old boy who has been living with his older brother after their mother has been arrested for drugs. Marcus, Andre's older brother, is arrested for selling crack and James tries desperately to find a relative for the boy to act as guardian so the youth won't end up in juvenile detention like his brother. But, Andre doesn't want to be separated from Marcus and even when James succeeds in finding a relative, Andre makes it very clear he will stay with Marcus at all cost � even if he needs to get himself arrested to make it happen.

Meanwhile, Edward's old running suit hits a sour note with Kitty when it is discovered ""lost"" in a box of Greg's old possessions, and Edward refuses to stop wearing it.

Christine, meanwhile, thinks about taking Logan out of day care because she's bored. Kim instead convinces Christine to go down to a temp agency and get a part-time job that she's qualified for -- passing out teeny-weeny samples at the supermarket. Jimmy loves Christine's new job -- especially the free lunch part -- but Christine hates it so much she quits, and tries her luck again at the temp. This time she gets an even worse job, and quits it too. Jimmy overworks Greg so much that he's ready to quit working out himself, until Jimmy confesses that he's only been ""helping"" Greg to avoid taking care

Event: ST. BEATRICE'S SCHOOL FOR GIRLS 20 YEARS AGO In flashback we find out that Sydney's mentor at boarding school was an archaeologist, and was murdered over an Egyptian necklace. Young Sydney witnessed the murder, and can identify the killer's face. In the present day, she is contacted by her roommate Darcy Lowe, who needs her help to find the necklace and bring the murderer to justice. Darcy, Sydney and Nigel travel to find the necklace, only to find out that the murderer was Darcy's father. He was unjustly accused, since Sydney didn't see the real murderer off to the side who shot her teacher. The real killer is the mysterious Deviega, who is the head of a cult devoted to recovering the two parts of the necklace. Infiltrating a ceremony, Sydney tries to capture Deviega and avenge her teacher's death, but he escapes.
