The show is based on statistics and opinion polls, and draws on polls produced by a variety of organizations and new polls commissioned for the programme, carried out by company Harris Poll. The show's title is derived from a well-known advertising tagline for Whiskas cat food, which originally claimed that "8 out of 10 cats prefer Whiskas".

May is shocked to see him angry at his Pokémon, and she's even more hurt when he takes some of his frustration out on her. Drew later calms down, but his tension showed how seriously he's taking his rivalry with May.

La Paz River, Vara Blanca, Costa Rica — The crater lake of the Poas Volcano drains from 9,000 feet into this high altitude cloudforest ravine. Stepping downward through a series of five waterfalls, we descend as the sun rises. Rays of light catch suspended water particles from the falling water, as green threads of life cling to sodden cliff walls. From within its pupa, an owl butterfly emerges with the increasing warmth of day, pumping fluid into its silken wings. Through the last rock opening, the water and sun burst out and down towards a restful pool, the famous La Paz waterfall.

When Ben and Gwen argue over a birthday party to occur in the next few months, Grandpa Max is distracted by their quarreling and almost hits a young boy camper. To ensure the boy's life, they head to Camp Opinicon, only to find no people around. As they investigate the premises, they find twins, whom were also hiding from something that may have a connection to the lifeless camp. Grandpa Max readies to leave the area with the children, only to find that the RV's engine is clogged with a mysterious fungus. While the kids take in shelter in a nearby cabin, Grandpa Max is captured. Now Ben must come to the rescue to discover a new alien form, as well as a way to destroy the evil alien Myceloid Monsters and their Fungal Master, and learn the benefits of what sharing can do.

Janet wants to talk to him about their settlement, but with no lawyers involved.

Mike first goes to Pennsylvania at a coal processing plant and learns how to make coke, carbonized coal used to make iron which in turn is used to make steel. Mike then goes to Washington to an oyster shucking plant and works alongside a very dirty girl. Finally, Mike goes to Pasadena, CA to dismantle floats from the Tournament of Roses Parade.
