Nina returns to the apartment that she lived in with her mother and Johan and encounters another memory. She then returns to Munich and Dr. Reichwein where she volunteers for hypnosis to find the truth behind these memories. After she nearly kills Dr. Gillen in a hypnotic rage, she leaves Dr. Reichwein's house to try to stop Tenma from killing her brother. Meanwhile, Suk and Vardemann team up to interview former residents of the Mansion of Red Roses to gather information on Franz Bonaparta's reading sessions with his picture books, and for Vardemann to find out more about his father's true involvement.
In an effort to get more time off to search for his wife and kids, Tommy joins the new firehouse’s Barbershop Quartet. Meanwhile back at the old station, Lou and Chief Reilly conspire to get Tommy back, but the rest of the crew has grown fond of his replacement.
In this introduction to the skewed world of Michael, Michael and David, their German landlord throws the boys out of their apartment. Things start looking up when they find a nice co-op, and win approval with a surprisingly well choreographed "Flashdance" style routine. Unfortunately it all goes wrong when it comes to the issue of paying for the co-op. Eventually the boys find themselves performing open heart...well open everything surgery on their former (and still German) landlord.

Meanwhile Camane, the psychic vestal virgin, has put her own life at risk by guarding the will, and Tyrannus, fearing for Octavius' life, once again takes the young heir away from the turbulence of Rome.

Keeping a promise made to Caesar, Tyrannus spirits Octavius away from those who now want him dead.
