Bernie becomes concerned when he begins to see the classic signs that old age is catching up with him. He's forgetful, has aches and pains, and is finding gray hairs in, uh, unwanted places. When a panic attack sends Bernie to the Emergency Room after an argument with the kids, he decides to not let the kids send him to an early grave. He fights back and begins trying to act young again. He blasts his music and nags his friends for not staying up all night to play poker with him. Bernie only makes matters worse however when all his ""young"" activities take their toll on his mind and body. When Bryana asks Bernie to play in her Father-Daughter Basketball tournament at school, he complains, saying that he is just too old to play. When he gets to the game though, he realizes that he should be playing and joins in. Although he gets hurt playing, Bernie realizes that being old doesn't mean stopping your life.

Ally decided that in order for the firm to get out of the financial crisis it's going through, someone will have to be let go. She chooses Jenny, who between all the lawyers of the firm had the least number of clients and experience. Glenn takes Jenny's dismissal offensively and decides to quit, taking all his clients with him. Ally accepts his resignation, but Victor convinces her to hire him back since the firm can't afford to lose any clients. Glenn and Jenny decide to start a new firm together and leave Cage, Fish & McBeal once and for all. Now the other lawyers will have to do extra work to make up for the loss. Among the changes Ally is making on the firm, she wants Nelle to be nicer and asks her to perform at the bar, something she has never done before. Afraid of embarrassing herself, Nelle goes to Ling for help. They decide to have backing vocals, a plan that backfires when the singer who was going to dub Nelle suddenly loses her voice and Elaine has Claire Otoms to replace he

Event: ARCTIC CIRCLE 1355 A.D. Sydney and Nigel are called to an Antarctic research base. Traveling there with a mechanic and an accountant (actually a secret NIA agent), they find the corpses of the research team scattered everywhere. It turns out the researchers had found a frozen Anasazi Indian, who became extinct for unknown reasons. They find one survivor, Eleanor. They discover that the Anasazi mummy is infected with a virus that causes outbreaks of violent insanity (and which wiped out the Anasazi), but Eleanor has a natural immunity. While Nigel and Eleanor try to contain the virus using cold, they discover another survivor, Rollin Harley, who thawed out the Anasazi to profit from the virus and is willing to kill. He murders the two men and traps Sydney on the surface, but she manages to get back into the base. Syd and Nigel manage to take out Harley.

Renee receives part of an old manuscript from an associate of her Harvard professor, who believed that ancient Egyptians were visited by aliens. He claims he has discovered proof of this and then disappears. Renee visits the Giza plateau and fins she must hook up with an old flame, in fact her love, Raleigh Sinclair, who's a dashing British scoundrel and a rogue archeologist. The two must work together to search the Pyramids to locate the tomb of Askenaton, a Grand Vizier to the Pharaohs and possible ancient Atavus who had mystical powers. Renee and Raleigh have some good hot-tempered banter as they try to outwit each other, while Sandoval arrives to complicate things further.
