A loud argument between a man and his wife attracts the attention of their housekeeper. The man is then discovered to be missing. The room shows signs of a great struggle, with curious parallel slashes everywhere. It also seems that a great change has come over the wife since her walk that afternoon. Holmes is determined to find out what happened on that walk. The result is amazing.

A fifteen year old girl goes missing and her blood-stained clothes are found. Det. Supt. Walker heads the investigation into her murder. Meanwhile, D.I. North is sent to see a persistent complainer, Warrington, who has been hounding the station. North begins to get stalked and Walker has a prime suspect for the murder. But then they find a connection between Warrington and Walker's prime suspect.

No one knows what happened to Laura Murray and Emily and Ilse want to find out. In order to do that, they go to see Ada Pickett, who tells them they are too young to understand the truth. Not wanting to listen to that advice, the girls dress up as older women and through a twist of events they see three different fates for Laura through their 90 year old eyes. They only question left unanswered: Which one is true?

Knowing that Sonic, Sonia and Manic will want to reclaim their family's treasures, Robotnik expects the heirlooms will serve as perfect bait to finally capture the Hedgehogs. Sonic and his siblings are aware that this is most likely a trap and devise a counter plan of their own to avoid getting caught.

However, Ian finds out where she is and tries to force her to return back to his home. When Emily and Ilse find this out they go to visit her at the mill but Laura appears to have disappeared.

Dawson is stunned when Eve presents him with a sneak peak at the PSAT test and everyone is tempted to cheat including Joey, whose scholarship is dependent on her SAT scores, and Andie, who is desperately fighting for acceptance to Harvard. But when the test is stolen, it's Pacey that Dawson accuses since he sees Pacey slipping back to his old ways. Meanwhile, Jack is insistent that the football team is purposely beating him down because he is gay.
