When the men are nowhere to be found, Sheppard and Ballard team up to investigate the death of young girl, who's a teenage gang member. With the wedding one week away, Billie Lou asks for Munch's help with her neighbor's abusive boyfriend. After Munch approaches him strongly, the boyfriend retaliates by coming to the Waterfront and slamming Billie Lou's head on the bar. Munch claims he came on strong with the guy, because his ""testosterone riddled behavior"" was due to the celibacy Billie Lou imposed on him, to make their wedding night more special. Billie Lou wants to delay the wedding until the welt on her forehead goes away in about 3 weeks. After Sheppard and Ballard solve their case, Sheppard reminds Lewis that his problem with her is not going to keep her from doing her job.

Nash and Joe meet Lyle who tells them the secret location the SIU barge has been towed to. Joe returns Lyle's chihuahua Ginger who has been held hostage in return for the info. A truck deliberately rams into a van containing three prisoners. Nash and Joe arrive at the accident scene, with Nash figuring out that a phony paramedic van has taken the three prisoners in a successful escape attempt. Nash, Joe, Harvey and Evan arrive at the empty and disconnected SIU. The Mayor has granted a one week reprieve pending the Police Commission hearing. If Nash and company catch the three escaped prisoners, the SIU will be saved. Head of MCD Reuben Banks daughter Gina's immunity deal is also dependent upon the return of one of the escaped prisoners - Gina's former boyfriend, Jimmy ""Shank"" Brasher. The other two escapees are Darnell Galloway and Elliot Wong. Gina is kidnapped by Brasher. Jake Cage of Fugitive Recovery is already on the case, beating Nash to interview Mr. Footman, owner of the stolen

Pacey and Jack catch on and realize she thinks he is with her, but is just a figment of her imagination as is Abby, who Andie also thought she saw at the end of the last episode.

Kelly receives medical treatment and files a police report. She tells Dylan what has happened, and stays over at his house for several nights. She also confides in Donna, but cannot bring herself to tell Matt. He notices her odd behavior and suspects that she is seeing Dylan. Kelly receives counseling from a rape crisis center, but still feels extremely vulnerable. Dylan gets her a gun. Matt helps a thief gain his release through a technicality. His client is the same man who raped Kelly, and they nearly run into each other. Although Dylan warns that she is still fragile, David asks Gina on a date. He supports her as she tries out for a spot in an ice show. Gina does not emerge for her audition; she has passed out in the bathroom after purging. Wayne asks Donna to accompany him to Acapulco for a volleyball tournament. She turns him down because she does not want to shake up her life.
