In addition to her production duties, Whoopi Goldberg served as the permanent center square, with series head writer Bruce Vilanch, Gilbert Gottfried, Martin Mull, and Caroline Rhea as regular panelists and Brad Garrett, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jeffrey Tambor, George Wallace, Kathy Griffin and various others as semi-regular panelists. Shadoe Stevens returned to announce, although he was not given a square on the panel as he had been when John Davidson was host.

Robotnik has his sights set upon Queen Aleena's crown jewel, which glows as it is moved closer her. Sonic, Manic and Sonia plan to recover the jewel from the merchant owner before Robotnik, not only to find their mother, but to protect her as well. The Hedgehogs acquire the jewel and begin their search, the glow becomes more radiant the closer they travel to their destination and their hopes of finding the Queen seem to be a tangible reality.

Jack's bike is still missing and decides not to report it to the police as Teraise was on the back on the bike which was illegal and because there's no police report he can't claim on the insurance. Nikki's trial is coming up and she is shown around the courtroom, her father finds out that her mother Carol will be giving evidence on behalf of Mike and she tells Greg that she doesn't want to go through it because she doesn't think that anyone will believe her.
