Fed up with the merry men's sexist attitudes Marian quits the gang and teams up with Rose, who is selling home improvements, including a flat pack extension for the castle in which John can put Guy's many toys. Rose, of course, is planning to deliver Marian and her men to the sheriff and lures them into the dungeons. However Marian escapes and ends up in the extension, which promptly collapses. Feeling ashamed of themselves the lads invite Marian back as their leader though Rose prefers to stay in the dungeons rather than become their au pair.

He falls asleep in the park while babysitting Erin, and she disappears. She is found hiding in a nearby house, and a guilt-ridden David confesses his drug problem to Kelly. Dylan takes care of Erica while Suzanne is out of town. He turns to Cindy for help when Erica experiences a major life event. Jim tells Dylan that Suzanne, who had claimed to be broke, has $25,000 in her account. Suzanne explains that she has just received the insurance settlement for her trailer. Donna meets a handsome ski instructor during a weekend in the mountains with Brenda, Steve and Brandon. Andrea learns that she is pregnant.

Alison complains to the brass about Amanda's mistreatment of her. After the FBI shows up with questions about her father's disappearance, Amanda is ordered to take a vacation. She heads to Hawaii with Jake, but returns because she fears that Alison is after her job. She goes to Billy and threatens to expose their one-night stand unless he gets Alison to back off. He refuses to cave in, although Alison ends up apologizing to Amanda anyway. Sydney sets up a hooker with an unknowing Robert during a business trip. Jane receives a videotape of the two together and breaks up with Robert. Reed and Jo sleep together. He later decides to start a charter boat service.

It's the day before D.J.'s SAT, and she's so nervous about it that when she goes to sleep that night, she has a nightmare about it in which everything possible goes wrong: D.J. oversleeps on the day of the test and is late, and Ms. Twitchel, a neighbor D.J. yelled at, is the teacher, Danny and Becky come by to broadcast the test live, and with too many last-minute changes to the test, D.J. fails the test with not even her name written correctly. When D.J. wakes up from this nightmare, Danny convinces her that she doesn't have to be so nervous about the SAT, and her teacher turns out to be a much friendlier teacher named Mrs. Moffatt.
