When Spider-Man arrives, he discovers Smythe has been turned into a spider-slaying cyborg. However, when his programming malfunctions, he goes after the man he feels responsible for his father's death, Norman Osborn. Peter must fight a crazed Smythe, as well as his feelings, after he discovers Mary Jane, the woman he loves, and Harry, his best friend, are engaged.

Years earlier The Gromble tried to scare Jolly but was thwarted by Jolly's horrible "sewer eater" (the Roto-Rooter machine). The Gromble takes Ickis, Krumm and Oblina on a misguided search for Jolly.

Meanwhile Maria blows off studying with Katie and Rachel when Sean Pierce asks her out. Sean asks Maria to help him with his take-home Spanish mid-term. She agrees, despite her study schedule with the other girls. When Maria does study with them, her mind is still on Sean, who calls her up. She leaves to go out with him again. Rachel and Katie think he's using her. The boys plan to raise $150 for a cake, saying it's a gift for Mr. Belding. The girls contribute money, but they want to buy Mr.

When Arthur wears it, he gains confidence and likes seeing himself with a muscular physique. While dating Carmalita, Arthur picks a fight with two guys to show his new strength and confidence. The Tick is called in to end the fight and he tangles with Arthur. In the end, Arthur must get rid of his strength belt to save his and Tick's life. Arthur realizes the addiction the belt gave him and tosses it away so that he can be himself.

A new dangerous enemy of earth, creatures of a strange reptilian race appear before the earth warriors. During the attacks that followed the acid of one of the reptiles hits Jax's cybernatic hands. As a result of it the important microchip gets lost and his hands don't function anymore. Because of this Jax loses his selfconfidence. Sonya returns to the place where battle was fought to find the microchip and help her friend. However a reptile manages to kidnap Sonya. Because there are also other battles to be fought, the Earth Warriors decide to split up: the larger part of the team take of to a kombat with Sheeva's warriors, as for Jax , he starts his search to find his partner, Sonya. In his desire to help Sonya, Jax forgets about cyber hands and defeats the reptile on his own. At the same time the rest of the warriors manage to win their battle too.
