D.J. has good grades throughout her report card, except for in Spanish class, where she was given a D. D.J. asks Danny to talk to Spanish teacher Linda Mosley about the grade. When Linda comes over to the house to talk to Danny about it, the conversation ends in a kiss -- right in front of D.J. and some of her friends. This makes D.J. a target for teasing, and she's angry with Danny for making her a target for teasing. D.J. is also angry that Danny didn't get her Spanish grade changed. Danny gets D.J. to admit that the more difficult the Spanish class became, the more she gave up on it. Meanwhile, Mr. Malatesta gives Michelle a spot in a marshmallow commercial that Joey and Jesse have been assigned to work on.

While the hospital staff quibbles about accepting Gabriel, he goes into convulsions, requiring immediate surgery. Angela, though not approving of the marriage, invites the newlyweds to make their home at Falcon Crest. In response to Maggie's rebuff, Richard pressures a judge for a court order that transfers custody of the boys to him. Accompanied by the Sheriff, Richard removes the children from Falcon Crest.
Jaleesa accepts a dinner invitation from her ex-husband, Lamar. Walter pretends that he is okay with this, but is secretly jealous. All of the girls fawn over the handsome and suave Lamar when he arrives to pick up Jaleesa (including Whitley, who had been ranting about what a dog he was). Walter shows up to meet his competition, and is hurt when Jaleesa calls him a ""friend."" Lamar claims to be a changed man and seeks a reconciliation. Jaleesa is extremely wary; she storms out after he reveals that he is living with a woman, whom he hopes to dump for Jaleesa. Although Walter responds sarcastically to Jaleesa's apology, they later work out their differences.
McCall tries to help a young woman who is one of the victims of a series of robberies directed against the deaf community.
Despite Paul Beckstead's misgivings, Vinnie uses Diana's record to start a bidding war in the hopes of selling Dead Dog to a bigger label. When Vinnie signs elusive James Eliot, Newquay offers to buy Dead Dog without Vinnie, Bobby or Diana. Diana balks at Newquay's offer, revealing they used to be lovers.
