Jake, whilst testing out a new land hopper in Australia developed by Skyvault scientists, gets caught up in a dispute between a heavily armed bike gang called the Road Devils, and a small convoy of gypsies. He defends the convoy and later is attacked by the bikers, who are looking for a stolen microchip intended for Doc Terror that one of the gypsies, Mitch took from a power plant and kept for himself. They kidnap Mitch's girlfriend, Cathy, and it's up to the Centurions to rescue her. Science Lesson: Marsupials by Jake.
The Rangers stop on Mesa to repair Space Tug 4, which was pulling a ship outfitted with an experimental Andorian engine that would render current drives obsolete. A space time distortion opens up, and through it comes a mysterious object, which hits the experimental vessel, and both crash on Mesa. The UFO turns out to be Scarecrow. He takes over a riverboat casino gambler, and teams up with Lazarus Slade. Slade is only interested in getting the new drive, while Scarecrow is after immortality.

Dr. Nathan Romalus is hired to create a new type of lifeform that can take on the appearance of anyone. After hearing of Terror's plan to replace the World Council of Scientists, he has second thoughts and informs Crystal of the experiment. The Centurions are sent to deal with the creatures, but Terror manages to escape with them and Romalus himself. The Colbys is an American prime time soap opera, which originally aired on ABC from November 20, 1985 to March 26, 1987. Produced by Aaron Spelling, it was a spin-off of Dynasty, which had been the highest rated series for the 1984–1985 U.S. television season. The Colbys revolved around another wealthy, upper-class family, who were distant relatives of the Carringtons of Dynasty and who owned a large multi-national corporation. Intended to surpass its predecessor in opulence, the series' producers were handed an immensely high budget for the era and cast a handful of well-known movie stars among its leads, including Charlton Heston, Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Ross and Ricardo Montalban. However, The Colbys was ultimately a ratings disappointment, and was canceled after two seasons.

When Ted learns that the subject of his mission is his wife Laura and that it involves pairing her with a guy named Roy; not only does he refuse to do it but he sabotages any chances Roy may have had with her. He then romances her himself but Jonathan steps in and shows what damage he has done and so to fix, he starts acting like a jerk which inspires Roy to tell him to leave Laura alone and their romance begins.

Crystal and the Centurions meet Professor Hartman at a medieval festival. He claims to have discovered the location of Merlin's tomb on an ancient map. They soon come under attack by Doc Terror's forces, who want Hartman's map. Terror wants Merlin's powers, and journeys to his tomb at Stonehenge to reawaken him. The Centurions arrive and protect Merlin from Terror, but he steals King Arthur's crown from the tomb. With the Crown, he summons the sword Excalibur, but it is taken by Hartman's assistant, who is descended from Morgan Le Fay. With Merlin's help, the Centurions try to retrieve Excalibur and defeat Terror. Science Lesson: Stonehenge by Jake.
The Queen launches a special psychocrystal through hyperspace. It manages to get on board a new ship of the navy that the Rangers happen to be taking on its maiden voyage tour of the solar system. The crystal takes over Zach's arm, and uses his lifeforce to power itself as it constructs a body out of servo droids. The Rangers have to stop it before it kills Zach.
