Eight Is Enough is an American television comedy-drama series that ran on ABC from March 15, 1977, until August 29, 1981. The show was modeled after syndicated newspaper columnist Thomas Braden, a real-life parent with eight children, who wrote a book with the same name.

Soon after, they respond to a call from Huggy after some thugs smashed up his bar demanding information about Hutch – and unbeknown to any of them, the pair are being guided into a carefully laid ambush at a desolate farm, in a trap set by a ruthless criminal with an old score to settle with Hutch. Worse still, Joey, the young shoplifting girl, has stowed away in Starsky's car, and ends up trapped with the Detective duo in a barn that will soon be set ablaze...

While searching for a fallen satellite in the Pacific, Steve rescues a drowning victim who turns out to be an alien. She offers to help him acquire the satellite, which has landed on her race's invisible island. However, many of the island's populace in fear of a revolution, yet are unable to leave due to a lack of an immune system to Earth illnesses. Steve must get an experimental serum for her before she will help him.

When all physical assaults fail against the new Venus probe, Steve succeeds in tricking it into falling into a pit. However, when it starts drilling towards a city, Steve has a bigger problem than before.

They both get involved with rich men - Maxine ends up getting her man even when she confesses she's poor, and Ann ends up with a doctor pretending to be a rich millionaire to raise money for his health clinic.
