The Colbys
Season 1, Episode 22
The Colbys is an American prime time soap opera, which originally aired on ABC from November 20, 1985 to March 26, 1987. Produced by Aaron Spelling, it was a spin-off of Dynasty, which had been the highest rated series for the 1984–1985 U.S. television season. The Colbys revolved around another wealthy, upper-class family, who were distant relatives of the Carringtons of Dynasty and who owned a large multi-national corporation. Intended to surpass its predecessor in opulence, the series' producers were handed an immensely high budget for the era and cast a handful of well-known movie stars among its leads, including Charlton Heston, Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Ross and Ricardo Montalban. However, The Colbys was ultimately a ratings disappointment, and was canceled after two seasons.

MacGyver
Season 1, Episode 21
Pete Thornton investigates the supposed death of an old friend, a prominent Russian dissident, and finds he must get his friend's daughter Maria out of the country before the secret police arrest her for an alleged conspiracy. However, while in Russia, Pete bumps into MacGyver, who followed him from the United States. While disappointed MacGyver followed him, Pete gladly welcomes MacGyver into his plans when the secret police arrive to take Maria into custody. Following a high speed boat chase to escape the police, Pete and MacGyver find out from Maria that her father is not dead, he is being held in a maximum security ward at a state mental institution. To get into the mental hospital, MacGyver plays the part of a mad patient and Pete plays the part of a doctor who has been assigned to him. With the help of the other patients, MacGyver is able to escape into Ward Zero, where Pete's friend is held. MacGyver breaks him out and hides him with the other patients.

A mystery man swims out and rescues Stephanie. Her clothes are found on the beach and everyone presumes she has drowned. Jilly pays Olive off now she has no future use for her. Jake is furious when Jilly tells him Stephanie killed herself because she though Dan had slept with her and starts to strangle her. Jilly breaks free. Stephanie appears walking on the beach, along with her rescuer Johnno. She had apparently rescued him, after he got in trouble trying to rescue her. She had only been trying to wash away all her troubles and not kill herself. Johnno suggests she should let people continue to think she is dead for a while and use it to get back at Jilly and Jake. Tom rushes back to tell Sarah the news he's not her brother and is involved in a car accident. A mystery person substitutes Jilly's breakfast with a snake and it wriggles towards her.
