Immediately, the two engage in a heated battle of sibling rivalry about EVERYTHING -- salaries, cars, & even women. In an effort to size up his brother, Ted claims that Mary is his girlfriend. Ted & Hal decide to go on a double-date with Mary & Rhoda. At the restaurant, Ted doesn't know any etiquitte, and it shows. Back at Mary's apartment, Ted & Hal arm wrestle before Hal decides to go with Rhoda up to her apartment to look thru magazines for his picture. Ted stays with Mary to make Hal think that he spends more time with his girl than he does.

Samantha and Darrin are now in lovely Paree and Endora is home with Tabitha and Adam. Maurice comes by the house and finds out that the Stephens are vacationing in Europe. He is mad because they should have stopped by in London to see how he was doing. Endora flies to Paris to warn Samantha and then Maurice appears in a scary cloud of smoke. Out of rare kindness, Endora zaps up a fake Darrin who charms and pleases Maurice. Everything just seems all right until the real Darrin comes in. Maurice notices the trick and sends poor Darrin to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Unbeknownst to him, his very appearance there makes a perfect advertising campaign for one of his clients who runs a travel agency.

Young Vietnam veteran and marksman Billy Shem Jr. buys a rifle under false pretences and proceeds to a bunker at Diamond Head. He then takes pot shots at the people on the road and then the police who arrive. McGarrett must neutralise the threat he poses by any means possible.

Syndicate boss Delaney controls the waterfront and eliminates any potential witnesses - the IMF have 72 hours to bring him to justice before the grand jury closes. Barney infiltrates Delaney's waterfront organization and sabotages it, while Jim is a captain of a Norse ship, The Orion, on which Delaney once killed a man. Casey poses as the dead man's daughter and tries to implicate Delaney. The team capture Saunders, Delaney's killer, and Barney then claims to be employed by Delaney's Syndicate liaison Morgan and forces Saunders to set up a meeting on-board the Orion. Saunders ""escapes"" and warns Delaney, and they kill Morgan. The Syndicate head Mr. C is also present, lured to the ship, and witnesses the killing. He leaves one of his men to kill Delaney but the police arrive and Delaney testifies in return for protection.

Danny's sore throat is diagnosed as tonsillitis and he has to have his tonsils removed. He is nervous about the operation, and when it is over, he is nervous about losing his voice.
