Drew is left comatose after a car accident. He enjoys a fantasy world where he is surrounded by scantily clad models, dines from pizza trees, and has a makeup-free Mimi as his slave. Meanwhile, his friends hold a bedside vigil. Mimi even kisses him in the hopes that the shock to his system would wake him. The doctor gives him an injection to help him come around, but it doesn't work. Drew insists that he would rather stay in the coma, as it seems much better than his real life. As a last resort, the doctor suggests that they remove him from the respirator. The shock will cause him to either come out of the coma or die. Steve (who has power of attorney) hopes to avoid this option. The gang tries surrounding Drew with familiar things, but there is no change in his condition. After Drew is removed from the respirator, he takes a test to see if he can get into heaven. He learns that he has been accepted. Mimi goes into labor in Drew's room.

Lily's trip to an amusement park with a group of her friends backfires when she calls Sean to pick her up. He doesn't like what he sees, and when he realizes HE was the one called because everyone thought he would go easy on them, he proceeds to get them all in trouble by telling their parents.

When Carol's music box is stolen from her car, Ed tries to help in apprehending the thief. Though the music box is valuable, Carol really wants it returned for sentimental reasons (her grandfather gave it to her). During the investigation, Carol lets her jealousy of Bonnie get the best of her and the two butt heads. Finally the culprit is found and with Ed's detective work the man is brought in for questioning. Unfortunately the man has an alibi. Ed investigates the alibi and learns that the man lied. Confronted by Ed, the thief admits that he stole the music box because he was desperate for money because he lost everything while supporting his sick mother. He refuses to admit that in court however until Ed promises to talk the DA into waiving jailtime and putting him on probation. When Bonnie learns about the deal, she becomes furious that Ed used their relationship to his advantage, but she does end up waiving jailtime anyway, to Carol's dismay. While the rest of the class is on the ski trip, Dawson stays behind to care for a near-death Mr. Brooks, but he's overwhelmed when he's asked to make an impossibly hard decision. The evening takes an unexpectedly romantic turn for best friends Jack and Jen...
