Then first Isobel and later her fellow villager Dr Duncan Goff are found on the river-bank with their skulls smashed in, and there is no shortage of suspects - including an antique dealer who apparently specializes in befriending elderly widows. The picture is confused when one of the suspects, chef-restaurateur Keith Scholey, is found frozen to death in his walk-in deep freeze, with the lock of the door jammed by a nail. Troy has a theory that Scholey was the killer and has made his suicide look like murder, but will that be the end of the affair?

Jessie is delighted that their work has been done for them and orders Arbok to attack. Arbok can't manage to attack the helpless Ekans, however, because it remembers when it used to be an Ekans. Jessie is sympathetic. James soon makes a similar concession when they find a cage of Koffing that Wheezing will not hurt. The cages belong to a poacher named Rico who uses his Fearrow and Pupitar to chase off Team Rocket. Team Rocket returns to the scene, now hoping to free the Ekans and Koffing. Things turn dangerous when Rico's Pupitar evolves into a Tyrannitar, and Team Rocket is forced to make the ultimate sacrifice for the Pokémon that they love.

The Pichu Bros. are having fun playing with Pokémon friends Smoochum, Magby, Wooper, and Teddiursa. But when the Pichu Bros. start to argue with each other, it gets out of control and everyone gets zapped with electricity! That stuns the Pichu Bros., and one Pichu falls on a skateboard that rolls away. It rolls so far away, nobody knows where that Pichu is. When Pichu wakes up, it starts to return to its friends, but gets distracted when it sees a balloon seller. Pichu tries to take all the balloons, except the balloons end up taking Pichu for a ride up into the sky! Meanwhile, Pichu's brother and the other Pokémon have found the skateboard, but no sign of the missing Pichu. As they search the area, the lost Pichu spots them and cries for help. Even though they hear it, they don't think to look up. Once they do spot Pichu, the breeze keeps blowing Pichu further and further away.
