When a lost archaeological expedition discovers a mysterious burial urn, the young student who opens it suddenly collapses in convulsions. Though she quickly recovers, Professor Hamilton, the expedition's leader, suspects she's contracted a disease from the urn's skeletal remains. He believes that's the only rational explanation for the inscription on the urn, warning that an evil demon is imprisoned within. But the next day, Roxton and Marguerite discover the expedition's camp has been torn apart, and that of all the archaeologists only two survive-Hamilton and his rival, Professor Campbell. In a tense standoff, the two men claim the other is possessed by the demon. Roxton's and Marguerite's intervention only succeeds in making the archaeologists suspect the demon has jumped into one of the two explorers.

Jackie finds a highly valued cat statue. Anyone who is scratched by it is magically transformed. Forced to steal it back for a gangster when Jackie is tossed into a jail cell, Jade is able to retrieve the statue, but gets scratched by it in the process. Uncle had been researching into the Cat’s legend, and says that the cure lies within. Jackie soon has an epiphany, and decides the Cat is too dangerous to be in a museum. So he smashes the statue, thus releasing a purple-colored gas that cures Valmont and Jade. With that, Jackie then realizes that “The antidote lies within” meant that the antidote was inside the statue itself (and not within a person, despite what he thought at first).
Atlantis High is a teen comedy TV show, shot in New Zealand in 2001. The plot revolves around 16-year-old Giles Gordon, who has just moved to Sunset Cove, "a beautiful coastal surfing town where the sun is always shining, the people are all beautiful and everything is perfect... or so it seems." He enrolls in Atlantis High School, where he soon discovers that Sunset Cove is unlike any town he's ever seen: populated by double-agents, aliens and high school students with blue hair and pointy ears, its inhabitants are eccentric lunatics who at times turn into superheroes or other whimsical figures. Atlantis High both parodies soap operas and pays homage to spoof television.
