After Aidan Grant, an employee for a local computer company, is found dead, Goren and Eames investigate, initially believing that Grant was murdered because of a business deal gone wrong involving biometrics, lip-reading, the company Ubicool and the military, but their investigations lead them to a young man named Robbie who worked in the office opposite Ubicool. Goren soon realises that Robbie isn't fully in control of his actions and suspects his therapist, Dr. Pynchon, of wrong-doing, but Carver wants them to get the answers from Robbie no matter what they need to do.

The series premiered on Family on September 18, 2005, and ran for four seasons, ending its run on March 25, 2009. The series starred Michael Seater and Ashley Leggat as the two oldest children in a stepfamily. It ended with 70 episodes and one spin-off television film, entitled Vacation with Derek.

Eventually those left living cross paths, and the true nature of Kevin’s brain problems are revealed. In the end Allen the Goose enters the Morgue where Kevin took his mother's corpse (after Kevin dies by a car accident saying 'Good bye Allen') and is revealed that all the series and characters (even Kevin himself) are imagined by Allen due to certain Psychiatric problems.
