But, Dillon is out and about and a new marshal is in town. He meets a young man who is handy with a gun but refuses to shoot any living creature even if it were for his own life. Circumstances prove to both men that sometimes responsibility to duty requires more than just the ability to shoot.

Enter Tony Blake, professional magician hired by the museum's insurance company to investigate the supposed ""impossible"" theft. As Tony follows the trail and starts to get close to some answers, he finds his suspects dead before he can ask any more questions. All have been torn apart by a large animal--with large claws.
