The Clampetts move into the Western street on their movie studio, but Drysdale tries to stop them. He gets the Clampetts a role in a new picture about Cleopatra and Nero, with Jethro as Caesar, Elly as a martyr who gets thrown to the lions and Granny as Cleopatra. However, Elly makes friends with the lion and Granny gets Nero drunk on elderberry wine.
While hoping freight trains, Kimble meets a young woman named Carol Hollister with her baby whom she is traveling to meet her husband. But Kimble doesn't know that Carol is a mentally disturbed young woman whose newborn baby died a year earlier and she has abducted another baby. Soon, Carol becomes so far gone that she mistakes Kimble as her late husband. Kimble must find a way to get the baby away from Carol and return it to it's rightfull parents while avoiding the police looking for her.

Tom Lockridge is a copilot, on a mission the pilot is killed, and he takes over allowing the crew to bail out. His best friend Captain Wade Ritchie disobeys orders and flies cover with his B-17. Back on the ground Savage tells Ritchie he is going to charge him with disobeying an order for leaving formation. When Lockridge returns and finds this out he turns his back on the General. Savage tries to explain to Lockridge the concept of formation discipline, but he is only concerned about his friend. Ritchie draws a court martial and is reduced in rank to 1st Lieutenant. Savage speaks to Libby MacAndrews, Lockridge's girl and she and Savage both keep working on him. On the next mission Lieutenant Ritchie flies as copilot with Savage and they get hit, Lockridge now an aircraft commander realizes he can't break formation.

When Darrin's alcoholic and lecherous client Rex Barker makes a pass at Samantha, she decides to teach him a lesson by turning him into a dog. The dog runs away, but Samantha eventually gets him back. When Rex makes another pass at her, Darrin knocks him cold. Rex does wind up giving Darrin his account.
Because Mammoth Pictures is losing money, Drysdale decides to tear down the studio and turn it into Clampett City. The Clampetts are excited about getting a town and streets named after them, and when they go to explore their town, they come to a Western set, which they fall in love with.
While walking on the road late at night, Kimble comes to the aid of Lucey Russell after her car has broken down. As a gratitude, she provides him her place to stay for the night. But the next morning, the police find the dead body of Lars Adams, a married man whom Lucey has been having an affair with only a few feet where her car broke down. As a result, Lucey is arrested for Lars' murder. Lars' wife, Amy, realizes that her husband was killed accidentally, but after learning of his philandering with Lucey, Amy decides that Lucey should take the rap. Kimble realizes that he can prove Lucey's innocence, but testifying for her could jeopardize his own freedom.
